List: 5 new spots to eat and drink in Middle GA

Looking for a new restaurant or a new hot spot in Middle Georgia? How about a new place to sip coffee or a funky place to try Boba tea?

If the answer is yes, then check out these five new spots to dine and/or drink. Three are in Macon, including one located downtown. The fourth is in Warner Robins, and the fifth is in downtown Perry.

Here’s a snapshot:

Hello Boba Cafe — Come get your Boba tea fix at this Cherry Blossom/Asian pop culture themed cafe at 359 Third St. in downtown Macon. Owner Renee Tu offers up Boba tea of assorted flavors, Bubble Waffles and pre-packaged Asian snacks like Pocky cookies and Lay’s spicy crawfish flavored chips. The cafe is open 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. 478-201-9311.

Jade Shark Pub — This north Macon restaurant rebranded with a new name, look and menu at 6351 Zebulon Road. Formerly Bianca’s Grill Restaurant, Jade Shark Pub offers a steak and seafood focused menu and refreshing cocktails. Hours are 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Tuesday through Saturday. 478-259-0680.

Oliver Perry’s — This casual fine dining restaurant with an emphasis on steak, seafood and cocktails at 905 Carroll St. in downtown Perry is open from 4 p.m. to 9 p.m. Wednesday through Saturday with reservations recommended and walk-ins welcome. Also, the full-service bar is open an hour later until 10 p.m. Additionally, it’s first-come, first-serve for Sunday brunch from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. Business casual attire and no ball caps. 478-313-5909.

Little Light Coffee Co. — Sophia Gargicevich-Almeida’s popular mobile espresso bar now has a storefront at 4027 Watson Blvd., Suite 220, in Warner Robins. Customers can expect the same specialty and seasonal offerings. She’ll also keep the mobile espresso bar but primarily for catering for weddings, employee/teacher appreciation and other private events. Storefront hours are 6 a.m. to 2 p.m. Monday through Friday and 7 a.m. to 2 p.m. Saturday. 951-776-7989

Marie’s Bar & Upscale Tapas Lounge — This new hot spot in Macon at 4581 Forsyth Road bills itself to offer cozy outdoor seating and intimate lounge seating inside. Relax with signature cocktails and enjoy an appetizer or dessert. Operating hours are 4 p.m. to 10 p.m. Monday, 4 p.m. to 11 p.m. Tuesday through Thursday and 4 p.m. to 2 a.m. Friday and Saturday. The kitchen stays open late, and there’s a business casual dress code with multiple no-nos. 478-368-9770.
