Oct. 10

The 2021 Katy Rice Festival presented by the city of Katy and the Katy Rotary Club is scheduled for noon-6 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 10, on the plaza in Downtown Historic Katy. There will craft vendors, live music, food trucks and more. There will be fun for the whole family, including a kids/teen zone, craft beer, and expanded food area. Farmers market

The Farmers Market at La Centerra is presented the second and fourth Sunday of every month from 10 a.m. to 1 p.m. at 23501 Cinco Ranch Blvd. in Katy. Chamber Membership Meeting

Howl’O’ween Pawty

The event will be a fun-filled family-friendly afternoon. Beer, chili tasting, raffles and more will help support rescued dog programs geared toward placing dogs with veterans in need of emotional support. Paws Fest

LaCenterra at Cinco Ranch is gearing up for its first ever dog-centric event on property — Paws Fest 2021, presented by Circle B Veterinary Hospital. The event is set to be held from 10:30 a.m.-5 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30. Though the festival is set to house multiple attractions, the most anticipated is the arrival of DockDogs, the independent governing and sanctioning body for dock jumping and dock diving canine performance sports in front of the Alamo Drafthouse Theatre in LaCenterra. In addition to Docks Dogs competitions, Paws Fest will encompass various other activities for event attendees to take part in alongside their furry companions. Howl-O-Ween

The city of Katy’s Howl-O-Ween is scheduled for 9-11 a.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at the Dog Park at 5414 Franz Road.

Bike to the Beach for Autism

Hope For Three friends and volunteers are biking to the beach on Saturday, Oct. 30, to raise autism awareness and funds for children. Join the local Fort Bend team ride from Houston to Galveston beaches (100, 50 and 25 mile rides). Cyclists, friends, and supporters can register or donate at my.biketothebeach.org/H43. 10th Annual BeerFeast

Flying Saucer’s 10th Annual BeerFeast is scheduled for 2-6 p.m. Saturday, Oct. 30, at Sugar Land Town Square at Highway 6 and U.S. Highway 59. The event features more than 80 craft beers from across the globe, live music, local food vendors, Halloween costume contest, raffle prizes and fun in the Plaza.
